At 6:30 pm on Monday night, 3 months of preparations came to a stop and the doors opened to the public for our first This is Personal exhibition.
Each of the artists on display stood proudly before their work amongst clients and artists from all over Australia. A special thank you also to Jessika from Arts Hub for reviewing the exhibition.
To those who run the studio it was the most accurate portrayal yet of how impressive we think they all are.
Thank you especially to Kaye and Sean. If it were possible to frame what they do and hang it on the wall I’ve no doubt everybody in the room would have stood drop-jaw in front of their work as well.
Thank you to Ben and Mick for the soundtrack that emphasised the quirky vibe exuded by the work of artist of honour, Johan Potma.
And to Emmaline, whom manages the venue, thank you for letting us into your lovely exhibition space and for gently persuading a stubborn studio owner to do things the better way when it comes to an opening night. We have learnt a lot and are looking forward to the next one.
