As promised we can now show you the next stage of “>Robin Eley’s Olive Grove. Take a scroll below to see the final pencil and details of the individual people. These pencils are incredible artworks on their own, which is why we chose to show them to you now before you get distracted by colour.

The next step will be a colour study. Which is a small stretched canvas that he will paint a minuture of the final painting on. This step gives Robin the freedom to experiment with a colour pallette until he is happy before he starts work on the final canvas.

However that’s next week’s news. This news update is intended to present Robin Eley’s incredible pencil work so that you can appreciate that even with his unfinished work in progress Robin is able to display the tone of the final piece and the humanity of its subjects.
