Otto steps up to deliver water, majesty and beauty

Otto Schmidinger is well known as Drawing Book’s superfish. The Ian Thorpe of illustration. This campaign commissioned by BMF on behalf of P&O literally put Otto in his element, water.

The commission was to create a HUGE mural style poster of P&O’s flagship fleet. To balance realism with agrandir in order to depict the pride of P&O with credibility as well as impact. This is where Otto’s talent for creating hyper real posterized images came to the fore.

Lastly the setting had to be idyllic and relaxed. That way not only did each ship in the fleet tower above the viewer but the viewer’s perception was whisked away to a tropical island.
