Otto and Christer help Lowe, Sydney win the Gold UNDPI

The New York Festivals International Advertising Awards, now in its 52nd year, has announced its 2009 United Nations Department of Public Information Winners. And Lowe’s online campaign for Genesis Energy has taken out Gold.

Drawing Book Photorealists, Otto and Christer illustrated all the trees, animals and backgrounds. Each tree had to be illustrated through several stages of maturity in order to give the site its interactivity via each member’s tree growth. We’re very proud of the boys efforts in this new digital media as they had to step out of their comfort zone of working for printed media and learn all of the web’s unique challenges.
