Ken Taylor rocks out the Razor’s Edge

Jun 4 2009
Ken Taylor is inherently cool. He’d never tell you that himself, and he’ll ask us to change this entry but we won’t. In their latest campaign for Gillette, Clemenger Sydney commissioned Ken Taylor to create a school crest using razors. Injecting attitude into something as pedestrian as a razor or as conservative as a school dormitory is no easy task, but Ken nailed it. When you look at the final logo and website illustrations below you’ll see what we mean.

Big thanks to Creative team, Chris Berents and Michael Dorso for trusting that we had the perfect man for the job. Especially given that this was Ken’s first campaign since joining Drawing Book. The pencil below was the first impression Ken made on them and from that point there wasn’t any doubt.

We are extremely proud to represent Ken because of his extremely professional manner, imaginative brain and incredible work.
