Jim Beam Rockography

Mar 17 2011
Days after winning the Melbourne Secret Wars semi final last week in 90 minutes, Ken Taylor flew to Sydney to complete his largest mural yet in full colour for the Jim Beam Rockography exhibition.

Curated by legendary photographer Bob King from a bank of over 3000 photos taken in 2010 and exposed through TheLBLM.com’s photo gallery, the exhibition showcases some of the best images captured at Jim Beams’ partnered festivals and live music venues by up and coming talent. Celebrated Melbourne-based illustrator Ken Taylor has created an original design mural backdrop for the exhibition, inspired by The Label Behind Live Music.

“Congratulations to all the photographers chosen for the exhibition. Rock photography is alive and well and has a great future ahead, with lots of young talent. There are some great action and creative shots, with well thought out use of light and movement. For those that did not make the final selection, keep up the good work. Again well done to all.”

The exhibition will run for 4 weeks until the 14th April. Launch Thursday, March 17th Location Gallery Bar, Oxford Arts Factory, 38-46 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst 2010
