Gerad Taylor lives a life of fast cars, bikes, technological mastery and science fiction. Which is to say he has stayed both a boy and a man throughout his life. And by doing so he has maintained a wonder and an awe of what makes a woman beautiful. No doubt this is aided by a life growing up surrounded by five beautiful sisters. All of whom he speaks of with absolution affection and respect.

So when Breakwater Wines called with a commission to create five wine labels based on five of history’s brightest starlets we knew Gerad would give it the attention required. Scroll through the five original poses and costumes of five of the most remarkable women in the world. We hope you’ll pause on details such as the angle of light which cast delicate shadows under the heroine’s cheeks, highlighting the youthful innocence a beautiful female subject retains her whole life.

When we asked Gerad why he enjoyed this brief so much he answered, “because they remind me of my five beautiful sisters”.
