Storyboarding a live action script with animated characters is something else

The first of these TVCs went to air 6 months ago but we waited until now so that we could post the two of them together. The reason we’re so fond of these storyboards is that they demonstrate Frantz’s love of animation and sense of style. If you peruse Frantz’s portfolio the first thing you’ll note is how many mediums he works in and soon after you’ll appreciate that deeper in his heart beats a love for designing characters. Especially oddly adorable characters often rendered in 3D.

All of the above is exactly why we recommended that Frantz articulate the client’s idea which cast a purple furball amongst a live action environment. Frantz’s love of animation and ability to draw in so many mediums meant that he could differentiate between photography and animation in a series of static illustrations without actually being able to use either medium.
