Frantz was perfect because whilst he prefers to colour his characters with a rainbow palette his love has always been the characters themselves. Characters so inherently charming and interesting in form alone that they still stimulate your imagination dressed only in black. Which you’ll see was essential to the concept after you have scrolled down through his storyboards and watched the final TVC.
