Christer snaps photos of the Dinosaurs

Aug 14 2009
At the risk of losing my objectivity I’m going to put it out there, I love watching the process Christer Eriksson takes when he does photorealistic dinosaurs. It’s bloody amazing to watch as he takes pencil sketches of dinosaurs and adds layers of scales and teeth until it looks like a living breathing thing. Especially when there is no exact reference for him to base the final touches on. No caveman photographer ever coerced a T-Rex into striking blue steal or a Triceratops into strike the angry pose down the lens of the camera. To me it’s the perfect example of photorealistic illustration from one of the categories masters.

The campaign below was briefed in by Max Landrak of Ideascorp. The campaign aims to rally together suppport for climate change. Using both press and viral media it aims to counter some politicians and influential business leaders attempts to block stronger action to address the climate change issue. It’s a great cause so feel free to forward the YouTube link at the base of this page. In order to see the add you’ll need to click the link as in the interests of having the link forwarded we have not embedded it into the page.
