Billmund’s silhouettes are in fashion for Westfield |
Oct 22 2010 |
Billmund is practiced in the subtleties of creating characters based on a recognisable silhouette which he already demonstrated in his action packed Kung Flu illustrations. This time he had to stretch his talents to portray the gentle aesthetic of the female form.
When all you have to work with is shape and outline, every line matters and every curve, edge and hint of movement can make or break the silhouette. Seemingly effortless simplicity is certainly not effortless to create. Billmund has created forms whose simplicity belie the complex task involved in visually capturing style, fashion sense and class, in sexy James bond-esque silhouettes.
