Can art save the world?

Jul 21 2011
The 11Eleven project is a wonderful not-for profit organization that believes the arts can contribute to global change by raising the big issues and stimulating thought around the things that matter in our everyday life. To demonstrate this Kimberly Kay decided to host an event that will feed the bright people who choose to attend through the artworks on display. We will continue to give this project as much support as we can and hope you will too. The event will be held this Sunday the 24th July 2011 at The E1even Bar Sydney with doors opening at 7pm.

The event is to host some of Sydney’s most influential, controversial and experimental artists who will be involved in collaborating with our concepts to create a piece that illustrates their certain theme. This curated night will blend artistic expansion with a social experience enjoyed by the film, charity, photographic and media subscribers of Sydney. With an array of philanthropists, artists, CEO’s and media partners the high calibre guests and speakers on the night will mark the beginning of the 111 day countdown until 11th November 2011.

We don’t want to spoil the reward you’ll receive from seeing the entire artworks in the “flesh”so we have only put some teasers below – a zoom of the final artwork and a description of how each artist approached their theme.

We’ll be going along not just to support our artists but to soak up the amazing work on display from all the bright sparks listed on the bill (flyer below).
